As part of the full membership, DACTI grants certification to its members. With this, DACTI vouches for their quality and is your guarantee that your translator or interpreter is professional and highly qualified when you choose your next translator or interpreter among our members.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Common to all members of the Danish Association of Certified Translators and Interpreters (DACTI) is a solid educational base as they all hold a relevant Master’s degree or have passed the separate translator exam.
All DACTI translators and interpreters meet one of the following requirements:
- a Master’s degree in Danish and a foreign language; or
- the separate translator exam; or
- a relevant Master’s degree plus at least five years of relevant language work.
DACTI requires its members to engage in continuing professional development (CPD) to keep up to date with commercial and linguistic developments in the profession and continuingly improve their skills.
In other words, you will want to choose a translator or an interpreter who is a member of DACTI. This is your guarantee that you will engage a professional and highly competent translator who will communicate your text faithfully, accurately and impartially, irrespective of the subject, or an interpreter who will practically eliminate the language barrier between you and the person or persons you are communicating with.
